Abhigyan Acherjee
Neural Networks & AI for Science
I'm a ML Engineer at the AI, Analytics and Future of Work initiative at Georgetown University, advised by Dr. Alberto Rossi. I also work with Dr. Micah Goldblum at the CoreAI lab at Columbia University.
I am interested in the application of neural networks to scientific problems, as well as post-training research in continual learning, world models, AI safety and alignment.
My past projects have spanned traditional machine learning tasks, software development, and applied AI work such as evaluating and improving MCP server architecture. Previously, I was at the CincyNLP lab with Dr. Tianyu Jiang, based out of the University of Cincinnati, where I completed a BS and MS in Computer Science with a minor in Economics. During my undergrad, I interned at multiple companies and worked on the LHCb experiment at CERN and the IRIS-HEP Institute at Princeton University, developing optimization software for RooFit. Before Georgetown, I worked at the Columbia University Data Science Institute during my MS with Dr. Savannah Thais.
I am currently applying to PhD programs in Computer Science in the 2026–27 cycle, and am open to roles.
